Golden Tropics believe that every family should have easy and affordable access to quality ingredients to make the foods and dishes they love. And when it comes to fresh and quality food products from West Africa, Golden Tropics aims to be at the forefront.
With that as the general goal, Golden Tropics came to us for a solution. Our idea was to create a site that features their extensive catalog of available products they manufacture and import for the West African community. We envisioned a "virtual grocery store" where the company’s vast array of products spanning many categories can be neatly organized for both distributors to place their orders and for consumers to see what is currently available in the U.S. Moreover, this project also gave us the opportunity to develop a packaging design for one of the company’s new products.
After extensive interaction with the client, we all decided that for this project, simplicity is the way to go. Since our vision was to create a “virtual grocery store”, we wanted to keep it simplistic and functional e-commerce framework. We also wanted to maintain their narrative and overall communication strategy. Moreover, we also wanted the website to be mobile responsive so customers may be able to shop using mobile devices. For this, we chose an e-commerce platform that’s as easy to use over a smartphone as it is through a laptop or a PC. The general idea is that when someone gets to the site, they'll be able to figure it out right away and start filling their shopping carts with the goodies.
Web Design & DevelopmentWe designed an e-commerce website to highlight the company’s 40+ product catalog and that intuitively lead each visitor to a sale. All the products that the company manufactures and imports are all neatly organized by category for a streamlined online shopping experience. Also, being fully aware that most people shop online using their mobile devices, we made sure the new Golden Tropics website is mobile responsive as well.

Moreover, we made sure the website is search engine optimized for optimum online visibility.
Search Engine OptimizationUsing the latest SEO strategies, we made sure all website content is optimized for maximum online visibility. Our SEO and Content team worked hard to ensure the website contained all the targeted keywords and key phrases in order to dominate search engine results.
Product Packaging and DesignGolden Tropics also had us design the packaging for one of their new products, Golden Tropics Rice Flour. Going over their old and current product line, we were able to deliver a package design that's was both an evolution from the previous packaging design but remained true to the company's identity and values.
Golden Tropics received a website that's not only functional and streamlined but also mobile responsive and extremely user-friendly. The new product packaging design we delivered stands-out on the grocery shelves and blends seamlessly with their other existing product lines. Initial SEO results show strong visibility and high conversion rates on the new e-commerce website. With these new developments, Golden Tropic is well on its way to achieving its long-term goal of becoming the leading source of West African food products in North America.
